Game of Thrones Season Five: Episode 7

Hello guys! I hope we’re enjoying how Game of Thrones is turning out so far. It’s just three episodes and this season comes to an end just in case you forgot. Anyway, let’s talk about what happened in the seventh episode

Back to Sender, Cersei

Cersei bit hard and forgot how it the bite would feel. When she signed the ‘morality bill’ into law, she forgot some people knew she wasn’t all that righteous. And now, guess who’s in prison? You guessed right, It’s Cersei and there’s no one to her rescue, definitely not her clueless Tommen or her brother cum baby daddy who is in Dorne.

Stannis Baratheon and Melisandre

Stannis is out with his men and as a leader that he is, he is faced with pressing issues such as the snow and food. Davos urges Stannis to turn back but Stannis is persistent, stating that the snow may last years but they need to press on to their destination.

Melisandre brings up a crazy idea, crazy because it involves killing the little Shireen. She wants Stannis to sacrifice the little girl to the lord of light to which Stannis asks her to leave. I pray he’s headstrong really.

Daenerys, Tyrion and Jorah

Jorah is sold at an auction to a slave trader and Tyrion being the smart head that he is won’t let him go like that. Tyrion, with the aid of his mouth and wit performs some outstanding tricks that make the slave trader acquire him also. Since Daenerys approved fighting back in Meereen, she comes to watch one with Daario (who is still visiting Khaleesi late) and then Jorah makes appearance bringing a gift of Tyrion. While we don’t know what this meeting holds, it’s basically two powerful characters and I’m inquisitive to know what the topic of discussion is. Maybe he’ll become one of her advisers, but is Daenerys ready to take such risk?

(Anyway, I think Dany slayed in this Solange inspired piece, did you?)

Sansa, Theon and Ramsay

Sansa confides in Theon after what went down with her husband but well as long as Theon remains Reek, he’s going to continue being the idiot Ramsay programmed him to be (not like I was really expecting anything from him). Sansa really needs to be calm too. She should know she’s married to a psychopath and watch how she talks

Re: “What happens if she has a boy?

Then I’ll have a baby brother

But he’ll be the heir

I’m Lord Bolton’s eldest son

But you’re a bastard – a true born will always have a stronger place

I was actually expecting Theon to slap her hard really.

Castle Black

At Castle Black, Jon Snow is out to find the Wildlings so they can help him against the Army of the Dead. We also witness the death of Aemon who was one of my favourite people at Castle Black. Sam stands up for Gilly when two men try to harass her and he fails for a better part, until the wolf comes out and scares them (where did it come from? Why haven’t we been seeing it?) And then Sam joins Jon on the list of the men of the Night Watch who have broken their vows when he has sex with Gilly.

In Dorne, ‘Uncle’ Jaime confronts his ‘niece’ who isn’t having anything that he’s saying. She insists that she wants to remain in Dorne and not shipped off to King’s Landing. On the other hand, Bronn who is in prison has a lovely voice and is given a poisoned sell-sword by the Sand Snakes (he’s dying slowly)

LittleFinger and Olenna

It is interesting to note that Little Finger was the reason Cersei was put to prison (after Olenna seeks out) but how long until Little Finger betrays Olenna? I for one, see him on the Iron Throne soon. He is a very deceptive and manipulative personality.

Anyway, let’s see how it happens next week. Enjoy.

Game of Thrones Season Five: Episode Five and Six

Hello guys. First and foremost, it’s my blog anniversary today. We just clocked one (haha!)

So thank you to you guys for everything. I really appreciate it 🙂

Anyway, I’ve been really busy and just caught up on Game of Thrones S5 05 &06 between yesterday and today and as usual, here are a few recaps and all that

Sansa and Ramsay Bolton

Now first, Myranda leads Sansa to the kennel to find Theon and Sansa runs out. Theon, on the other hand tells his master that Sansa was down there and Ramsay manipulates Theon making him admit that he killed Sansa’s brothers. (I honestly thought he would cut off his hand or something) Ramsay does his bit to embarass himself, which he does half of the time. Sansa is very uncomfortable (not like she has been herself since she came to Winterfell) and then, big news, Ramsay is going to have a sibling. Of course, this doesn’t go down well with him and he confronts his father. There was also the bit between Myranda and Ramsay which was also very irritating.

Before her wedding, Myranda makes Sansa understand that she loves Ramsay and then, Sansa makes a brave move!

This is my home and you can’t frighten me

Sansa got married in a beautiful white dresss, walked down the aisle by Theon Grejoy, imposed by Ramsay when he said “he’s the closest to family she had”. After the wedding, the most useless thing in the history of all things useless on Game of Thrones happened. After asking Sansa if she were a virgin, he went ahead to rape her. To make matters worse, this dude asked Theon to watch and now, I am like “WTF is wrong with this dude?” “What is your problem really?” “What was the essence?” “Is this part of the torture?”

Then even the method of invitation was very rude

You’ve known Sansa since she was a girl. Now watch her become a woman.

And I really feel bad for Sansa because it’s a first time and it’s this useless sociopath.

Kings’ Landing

In King’s Landing, there are a lot of things going on. Olenna is around and her presence isn’t doing anything in this episode. It probably made it worse because another one of her grandchild, Margaery who is supposed to be the queen has been taken. Now, Loras was interrogated by the High Sparrow and denied the charges before him. Margaery even swore that Loras was telling the truth until Olyvar came in and spoke the truth. To make matters worse, he said Margaery knew about it.

Now I have a question, was Olyvar arrested?

Anyway, Olenna knows about Jaime and Cersei and since the good people of King’s Landing want to be upright, then maybe they should start from the highest family in the land. All through all of this, Tommen Baratheon sat there and did not utter a word.

Behold the most powerless king that ever lived! When we said we were tired of Joffrey, we didn’t mean for them to bring us this clueless being.

In Meeren, things are also happening. First Daenerys has summoned the leaders of families to the dungeon and watched as one of them was burnt and devoured by her dragons. While this is in a bid to scare these people, I think this could have been done without killing that man. She later apologizes however, which I think was brave of her

Jorah and Tyrion were attacked on the way to Meereen and now, Jorah is very close to be a stone man. And for God’s sake, Tyrion needs to be treated with great respect (He’s a favorite on the show) You should sign this petition I saw here too . Now, Jorah and Tyrion had a nice conversation where Tyrion admitted to killing his father because he was going to have him executed. Tyrion also told Jorah that his father was killed by his men and was inquisitive to know why he was so loyal to Daenerys. From nowhere, a group of pirate approaches them while they’re trying to hide by a rock and the head of the pirate was interested in Tyrion’s penis, believing that it had magic powers. Tyrion, saved himself by simply admitting that the buyer wouldn’t know the penis came from a dwarf and so, he lived.

Also, Greyworm is alive. While he’s angry he dissapointed Ser Bannister, he’s happy he’s back for Missandei

Jaime and Bronn are in Dorne to rescue the princess and this they do succesfully. Prince Tristan and Myrcella however are in love and having their moment while Jaime and Bronn interupt them. The duo were interrupted also by Ellaria’s daughters who are ‘unbowed, unbent and unbroken” for Prince Oberyn. What ensued after this was a fight which led to an arrest.

Arya Stark

Arya passed the test with the other girl but she’s failing woefully with Jaqen. Maybe Arya is ready to be someone else, but still wants to cling to a bit of her old self.

Meanwhile, I’m having issues with what to giveaway for my blog 1st year anniversary so maybe if you have any ideas or you want to give out something, drop a comment or contact me via email:

Thank you

Game of Thrones: Season Five Episode Four

Spoilers will definitely come!

  • What happens in Meereen stays in Meereen

A lot of things are happening in Meereen and at this rate, all I see is Mother Dragon loosing her people. In episode two, she kills Mossador and she was almost stoned to death. This time, it’s the Sons of Harpy and they aren’t here to play. Remember we saw them here where they killed a member of the Unsullied. This time, they’re killing even more. Grey Worm and Ser Barristan were among their victims and this isn’t good for Mother Dragon.

This means her city isn’t safe. Now come to ask yourself, what do these people want exactly? Hopefully, we’ll find out when next we see them! Now, while all these happens in Meeren,  Ser Jorah is on his way with Tyrion (poor Tyrion, the way they disrespect him in this episode is annoying) to meet Daenerys. I, for one think Tyrion prefers Varys to this annoying character who throws him like an object and hits him when he speaks. Where is Varys by the way?

  • Tales from Dorne

Bronn and Myrcella’s dad are on their way to Dorne to rescue the princess and they get into very interesting conversations. Amidst all this, Bronn is a little bit suspicious as to why Jaime has to be the one to go on the rescue mission.

On arrival, they have a face off with some Dornish guards and luckily Jaime gets off that with no part of his body lost.

Still in Dorne, Ellaria Sand and Oberyn’s bastard daughters plot their revenge against the Lannisters to avenge Oberyn’s death. This, they intend doing by capturing Myrcella Baratheon

  • Cersei, oh Cersei

I told you guys here that Cersei doesn’t play. Margaery thinks she won the fight, but Cersei gave it to her in a place she didn’t like. Cersei arms the faith militant and places power in the High Sparrow. She first and foremost sent her father, Lord Tyrell to negotiate with the Iron Bank at Braavos and now, the Faith militant have custody of her brother, Loras for being gay and they have taken him to the dungeon. Now, it is pertinent to know that Cersei is basically the one dishing commands in the name of her son. Margaery asks Tommen to go to the High Sparrow (after all he’s king) and he doesn’t just look weaker to her alone now, he does to the entire crowd after he’s refused entry to the temple. So, Cersei wins! 2 punches to none. Margaery isn’t having this, and has decided to inform her grandmother Olenna Tyrell about this (and be rest assured Olenna doesn’t joke too)

  • Stannis Baratheon and Jon Snow

After this episode of Game of Thrones, it is sure that they have something in common, they have been seduced by Melisandre (who serves the god of light and who I think should die). But unlike Stannis, Jon is headstrong and isn’t having any of that and the funniest part of all of this is when she tells him “You know nothing”. Now it’s clear Jon isn’t joining Stannis’ army and doesn’t want any of that

Remember Ygritte?

you know nothing

Shireen also confronts her dad in this episode. I like as her emotions were portrayed in this episode. Shireen is reassured of her father’s love for her as she is the princess of the house of Baratheon. This made me feel great and happy and somehow, picks Selyse out as the bad one because there’s a scene where she says she gave Stannis nothing but weakness.

Hopefully, more happens in this new episode. You can catch previous episodes here, here and here

Game of Thrones: Season Five Episode Two

I think this episode of Game of Thrones was way too boring and slow and everything we don’t want in an episode of a TV show that occurs in tens annually. But quick recap if you missed the ‘War is Coming’ episode we discussed, here it is. Of course, this contains spoilers, so maybe try to see this episode before reading this analysis or thoughts catalog okay?
